Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky

What's up, Music Nerds!

So it's been over a year since I last posted, but I'm back. And this time it's going to be a lot more regular.

I thought I'd kick off my return with a fantabulous (yes, I made that word up) song by my favourite electronic/dance musician duo - Daft Punk.

The song is the lead single on their forth studio album Random Access Memories. It was released in April of this year and has been a huge hit. It reached #1 on 29 different music charts, in 23 different countries. It also hit Platinum in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden and the US.

The song is Get Lucky it is co-written with Nile Rodgers, an American music producer, and features Pharrell Williams, an American singer/songwriter/rapper. This is why, on the album art, we see four figures silhouetted against a setting sun, rather than the two you'd expect on a Daft Punk album.

As you may guess, closer to it's release, this song was played regularly on top hit radio stations. It's a catchy song with lyrics that are easy to remember. It has also received critical acclaim from top music producers. But what is the perspective of a simple Music Nerd, like yourselves?

In short, it turbo clocks me.

I don't know what it is, but there is something about this song that changes my body clock and makes me super productive for the 6 minutes and 9 seconds that it lasts for. I always get to the end of the song and think, 'Oh, did I only listen to that once? Because with the amount of stuff I did while listening to it, it feels like I've listened to it at least three times.'

Another added bonus, other than it being a great song that makes me more productive, is this; it makes me feel awesome. I mean, I'm awesome all the time, but this song really makes me feel it.

So, three good reasons to listen to this song:
1. It's a really great song.
2. It turbo clocks.
3. It helps you to feel the awesomeness that is already inside you.

There you have it, Ladies and Gentlemen, so go Get Lucky!
